Hey, friends!
I’m Tina Sims, a lettering artist and surface designer in Minneapolis, MN. I've been sprinkling magic on all things creative for over 25 years designing cookbooks, calendars, cards, dog collars and more marketing emails than there are stars in the sky.
I’ve always loved all things creative – it runs in the fam. When I was a kid, my granny painted a life-sized birch tree in her stairway. My dad enjoys drawing nude caricatures or carving them out of wood (his home is a work of art in itself). And then there’s me. I was the kid writing everything in bubble letters, voted most likely to become an artist, editor-in-chief of my high school paper and winner of Best Graphic Design in college. I’ve also been known to host a super-sweet neighborhood craft night, in spite of my introverted tendencies.
Anyway, cut to 2018 when I discovered Procreate. It brought me joy and excitement during a very sad time in my life. I found a passion I didn’t know I was looking for: to make art for products. I’ve been on that journey ever since and dream of Christmas throw pillows at Pottery Barn.
